Game dev

My journey into the world of game development ignited when I first dipped my toes into programming. It all began with a small Python script using the Pygame library, a simple but enchanting foray into the realm of game creation. I remember crafting rudimentary games that involved moving objects left and right, initially as school assignments, and later, as passion projects. These humble beginnings laid the foundation for my growing interest in the art of game development.

During my pursuit of an associate degree, I encountered C#, which opened the door to a whole new universe in game development—Unity. Unity, a widely recognized and well-documented game engine, was a revelation. Initially, I felt like a newcomer in a foreign land, navigating through a plethora of panels and encountering concepts like rigid bodies that seemed alien at first. Nevertheless, my curiosity burned bright, and I was determined to conquer this new frontier.

To gain a deeper understanding of Unity and game development in general, I turned to online resources, particularly YouTube tutorials. It was a valuable learning experience, but I couldn’t help feeling like I was merely copying someone else’s code. This realization motivated me to take a more proactive approach to my game development education.

I embarked on a personal journey of self-improvement, dedicating my time to taking online courses and truly grasping the intricacies of game development. This ongoing learning process has been a thrilling adventure, one that continues to this day.

At present, I am engaged in an ambitious game project called “Silent Reclamation” that promises to be a long and challenging endeavor, possibly taking years to complete. Despite the magnitude of the task, I am elated because every day is an opportunity for me to acquire new skills and knowledge. My journey now encompasses various aspects of game development, from coding and structuring the game to storytelling, 3D modeling using Blender, and crafting sprites with tools like Krita. This project not only serves as a testament to my growth but also as a testament to the unending possibilities within the realm of game development.
